EXPORTED IN THE TERRITORY OF INDONESIA
WITHOUT PRIOR APPROVAL OF THE OFFICIAL AUTHORITIES

NARCOTICS, for example :

Opium (Papaper Somniferum)
Coca (Erythroxylon) including the plant and its processed product
Hemp Plant/Hashish/Marijuana (Cannabis sativa), the plant and its processed product
Crystals and its derivatives of Morphine and Cocaine
Substitutes of narcotics (natural/synthetic)
Mixture of the above mentioned substances
Import/export, possession, usage and distribution without the approval of the respective authorities are strictly prohibited.


EXPLOSIVE MATERIALS, for example :

All types of ammunition, incendiary bombs, mines, hand-grenades
All explosive goods
Explosive materials used for other explosive goods
Importing explosives for military purposes such as TNT, Nitro Glycerine etc. are only under the approval of the Department of Defense and Security c.q. BAPENAB, Dephankam.
Importing explosives for industrial purposes such as Ammonium Nitrate, Dynamite shall be carried out by PT. DAHANA and it should obtain the approval of the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia.


FIRE-ARMS and AMMUNITION, for example :

Parts of fire-arms
Cannons/flame-throwers and parts there of
Air-gun, spring-gun, gas-operated gun
Imitation of fire-arms, light-signal/alarm pistols, start pistols, anasthetic pistols and the like, including parts there of
All kind of weapon filling (ammunition/bullets)
Bullet shells (mantel kogels)
Projectiles used for spreading dangerous gases.
Importing all types and sizes, are only under the approval of the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia.


FIREWORKS, for example :

All types and sizes of fireworks including Happy Crackers
Importing all kind and sizes of fireworks is strictly prohibited.


VARIOUS KIND OF BOOKS, PRINTED MATERIALS, for example :

Books, magazines and all types of paperprinted materials, in Indonesian language/dialects
Books, magazine leaflets, brochures, newspapers written in Chinese letters / characters and in Chinese
Paper printed materials for cigarette packaging and medicine labels either in Indonesian or in a foreign language
Medicine labels and cigarette packages attached to such goods
Importing books and printed materials in Chinese, are only under the approval from the Office of the Attorney General and of the Department of Trade & Industry.


Importing of books and printed materials specified above may be approved in the following cases :
Diplomatic Facility (Goverment Regulation, No. 8 Year 1957)
For educational/teaching purposes, including materials using Braille letters (upon the recommendation of the Department of Education and Culture)


All kinds of GRAMAPHONE-RECORDS, CASSETTES, VIDEO CASSETTES, DISCS, FILMS : Importing of the abovementioned goods should be through the inspection of the Office of the Attorney General and/or the National Censor Institution, in exception for TVRI (National Television of the Republic of Indonesia), the Diplomatic Corps and International Institutions.


TRANSCEIVER EQUIPMENT, CORDLESS TELEPHONE or TELECOMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT

Importing of the abovementioned equipments, are only under the approval of the Department of Communications.


COLOUR PHOTO-COPY MACHINE and parts there of :

Importing the abovementioned equipments, are only under the approval of the Coordination Board for Fight Against Money Forgery (BOTASUPAL).


CERTAIN SPECIES OF PLANTS :

Quinine (Linchan Species)
Natural Orchids Dendrobium, Vanda and other species of Orchids
Agave Species
Musa Textilles Mees
Ranwoefia Species
Rafflesia Species
Importing/exporting the abovementioned plants, are subject to the approval of the Department of Agriculture and are also subject for a plant quarantine inspection.


PLANTS and PLANT SEEDLINGS :

Importing the abovementioned items, are only under the approval of the Department of Agriculture and are also subject for a plant quarantine inspection.


CERTAIN PROTECTED ANIMAL SPECIES, INCLUDING PARTS or PRODUCTS THEREOF, such as :

Rhinoceros
Orang-utan
Bubulcus/Egretta
Tapir
Paradise Bird (Paradisea minor/ranggiana)
Buffalo
Deer
Chevrotin (Tragulus pygmaeus)
Mother of pearl, Troka, Roa and others
Exporting the abovementioned animals/products there of, are only under the approval of the Department of Agriculture.


CERTAIN DANGEROUS SPECIES OF FISHES, such as :

Piranha (Serrasalmus Sp)
Vampire Catfish (Vandelis Sp)
Alligator Gar ( Lepisostous Sp)
Silurus Slane
Esex Masounjongy
Electric Eel (Electrophorus Electicus)
Tetrodaoden Sp.
Importing of the abovementioned fishes are prohibited except for the special purposes of zoological gardens and scientific purposes, and are only under the approval of the Department of Agriculture c.o. Directorate General of Fisheries.


SEVERAL SPECIES OF FISHES, among others :

Sidat Breed (AnguillaSp) below the diameter of 5 mm in size
Fresh-water fancy fish of the Botia species, above 15 cm in size (mother fish)
Fresh-water/river shrimps (Galah Shrimp), below 8 cm in size
Panacidae shrimps (Windu Shrimp)
Bandeng (Chanos-chanos)
Fish breed(Nener) in all sizes
Exporting of the abovementioned fishes are prohibited, except for scientific purposes and for the promotion of agricultural products, under the approval of the Department of Agticulture c.q. Directorate General of Fisheries.


MEDICINES, for example :

Traditional ready-made Chinese medicines, in the form of pills, capsules, powder, liquid and other ready to use forms
Ready-made medicines produced abroad, including Chinese traditional medicines "unregistered" at the Directorate General for Inspection of Medicines and Food (Ditjen POM), Department of Health
Importing ready-made medicines or traditional medicines for personal use or for trade, are only under the approval of the Directorate General for the Inspection of Medicines and Food, Department of Health
Ready-made medicines or traditional medicines may be imported in small quantities for personal use by passengers of ships/aeroplanes as long as it can be proven by a doctor's prescription
Food and beverages unregistered at the Department of Health, except in reasonable quantities carried by passengers of ships / aeroplanes for use during the trip.


SOLAR ECLIPSE GLASSES :

Importing of the abovementioned item for observation purposes, are only under the approval of the Minister of Health.


DANGEROUS GOODS, such as :
Easily explosive /flammable, combustible chemicals, poisons, corrosives, oxidators, radio-active items.
Importing the abovementioned items, are only under the approval of the Department of Health or in the case of radio-active items, under the approval of the National Atomic Energy Board (BATAN) and the Department of Trade & Industry
Importing radio-active items as passengers' personal goods are strictly prohibited.


PESTICIDES :
Pentachlorophenol and its salts Dichloro Diphenyl Trichloroethane (DDT)
Importing of the abovementioned items, are only under the approval of the Department of Agriculture.


PRODUCT OF CERTAIN GOODS, such as :

Rubber lumps, slabs scraps, unsmooked sheet, blanket sheet, smooked sheet of certain quality Hides and raw (unprocessed) skin of cow, buffalo, goat, sheep, horse, snake and others Rattan and rattan core. Exporting of the abovementioned goods, are only under the approval of the Department of Trade & Industry. Waste, steel, copper and brass scraps. Importing and exporting of the abovementioned goods, are only under the approval of the Department
of Trade & Industry.


GOODS OF CULTURAL VALUE :

Exporting of any cultural value goods, are only under the approval of the Directorate General of
Culture, Department of Education and Culture as well as of the Department of Trade & Industry.


W A R N I N G :

ACT(S) WITH THE INTENTION OF EVASION OR CONCEALMENT OF GOODS FROM BEING INSPECTED, OR GIVING A FALSE DECLARATION BEFORE CUSTOMS & EXCISE OFFICALS IS A VIOLATION OF THE LAW, ON WHICH SANCTION(S) WILL BE IMPOSED.
